The Plaintiff

"The Plaintiff" I'm gonna wear my same clothes that I wore yesterday She's gonna wear her new clothes Her dad bought the other day Well, I've got nothing to brag about while she's got her new car to drive around I don't have a friend or do a foe No one gives a damn wherever I go I can't even sing or rock the dance floor People gonna show me the way to the door Well, I've got no one to look at me While she's got a new lover wanna be! I can't even speak the Queen's language Neither can I be another Charles Babbage I don't have the flair to be a Rock Star Neither can I be ya fav. Movie Star Well, I've got nothing hidden in me A Blue-eyed boy won't ever be found in me! I'm gonna wear my same clothes that I wore yesterday She's gonna wear her new clothes her dad bought the other day well, I've got nothing to brag about while she's got her new car to drive around Bridge: But maybe one day, I'll find my way Ain...

Poetry - Dear Mother

"Dear Mother" Why, dear Mother, why do we have your children fighting for power? Many have even cried  Not wanting to be under the reins of a dictator. Is the will to ply  whether good or bad not an onus of ours? Let me then try  To keep myself from others a li'l bit lower! Why, dear Mother, why is our nation so strong,  divided against it's own? Many laid down their lives but I still wonder where those sacrifices have gone? Shouldn't we work as a hive under one royal banner and together sing a victory song? Let me then try to be your true lover, and sing to you that victory tune! Why, dear Mother, why don't ya children realise their core responsibilities Excercising their desires they gain not a slice; only build fake beliefs! Castles in the skies  they make and break; And passing by, lisp "there, there!" Let me then try  kick up my heels, and For you, dear Mother,  be a blessing in disguise! by Naphta...

Biscuits of Gold OR Tablets of Stone

Biscuits of Gold OR Tablets of Stone My  intentions  were clear- secure a secular job, earn to the fullest of my capacity. And yet not be in breach of the fourth commandment. There are several jobs that pay you really well, however Sabbath keeping becomes a challenge often for the Adventist Christians.  And in most instances you may get off on Saturdays; however Fridays become an issue then.  But take a look at the God’s ways for the diligent who do not wish to forsake the Sabbath.  Having prayed earnestly for about a month, God finally opened me a door into an international insurance company that required me to work Mondays through Fridays only.  Having said that, I finished work by one-thirty in the afternoon (Read Rev.3:8 – the Lord’s promise).  I had been a fool many times;   asking my bosses weekly offs on Fridays.  They would chuck my requests with a grin.  I knew I was being funny, but had to keep trying....

Take a break!

I'm gonna take my break! no-no matter what! "sit and take a call", said my manager "no-not at all, " said the teenager 8 hours of business calls i hour for nature calls don't ya think 'least we need is  1 hour of Fun for all? all work and no play  makes Jack a dull boy makes Jack a dull boy so now, I'm gonna take a break!... "Give me what i want!" said the customer "This is all you get!" said the file owner effing, blinding over the phone getting wild and raising tone do ya think I'm gonna take  any of those cacophonies? speaking with a forked tongue say, "hey cuss, all done!" say, "hey cuss, all done!" so, now, Let me take a break!...

Hear of Many- seen but one!

Heard of Many Seen but One Adversities can level stalwarts to the ground. Adversities can change your whole game plan. But a fighter is he who puts up a brave front against matters that may even threaten to shoot him down in flames.  And in all my born days there is but one person I have heard of and have seen who in order to fulfill his mission has stood by the most tempestuous moments, tackled issues and cracked every nut.  I am talking about a Seventh - day Adventist leader who in pursuit of meeting his goals seemed to have executed perfect plan that eventually accomplished dreams many may have had in their minds.  Determination was strong, and his will big; and to support the cause, he left no stones unturned.  That’s why Spicer Memorial College today can boast of one of enviably the grandest Seventh- day churches in the whole of Asia standing in the campus. The structure has a capacity to accommodate close to 2,000 members.  And it has been th...

"Nobody Waits!'

Nobody wanna wait for anyone  Everybody on his bike goes zoom, zoom, zoom Drag-race on a bumpy road  at a roundabout you lose control on the pavements stroll the down and out Drink and drive, and you snuff 'em out. Nobody, nobody, nobody waits for anyone. Cops, they chase and cuff ya hands Then and there ya wet ya pants Come out of a shindig brawl now's the time to pay it all nobody, nobody, nobody waits for anyone... Nobody wanna wait for anyone - 2 Nobody wanna wait for anyone Everybody on his bike goes zoom, zoom, zoom... Shilly-shally philistine out're you've got naught to gain Don't ya ever play a dirty game All you'll be is a source of shame for everyone, for everyone, for everyone around you. Wilco to the traffic rules keep out of the unplumbed blues be in good books everywhere staying cool in ya own lair And that's the way, now that's the way,  And that's the way you live it ...

"One O'Aae'

One O'Aae And you're carried One o'Aae In crib you're laid One more o'Aae We know you're hungry Another O'Aae Then you're fed. One o'Aae Your mother's worried One o'Aae Your brother's scared One o'Aae-Aae We know you're angry Another o'Aae And you're cared One o'Aae And you smile  Another o'Aae And then you yawn A long O'ahweh! We know your're tired Once you're asleep Relieved, that's when we smile! this li'l poetry is based on my baby's initial sounds as I loved watching her grow..

Surrounded by Troubles

I am surrounded by many troubles Too many to count! My sins have caught up with me, And i can no longer see; They're more than hairs of my head And i have lost all of my courage. Save me, oh lord! Come, help me now! may all who come to you, oh lord Be glad and joyful. may all who are thoughtful for your  Salvation; Ever chant, 'how great is the Lord!' And rejoice in him for evermore. you're holy Come, help me now! I prayed and i waited. you inclined to me, And heard my cry. A new hope I've found, and a life to live on... The New Jerusalem

"The New Jerusalem" No more seas No more oceans No more trees That but grow in some regions, We well eat of trees That fruit every season For that city so great I’m bound No more tears No more crying No more death In that land that God has promised He from every eye Will wipe away our crying For that Moro so bright I’m bound No more fears No more sorrow No more doubt In that New Jerusalem A thousand years will reign With Jesus and His angels.
My “Fy” language This language form of mine has never been justified as a dialect into any type of English language; however it gives me pleasure to introduce my ‘Fy’ language among all my peers. Trust me I’m not trying to mar your English language. The truth is this is how I actually developed affinity towards English. And it arose in me and my peers a great curiosity in learning this foreign language… My room was dirtified! And this time it was like never before! Yes, it had been great evening! We had partified till late that night and everyone enjoyed to their fullest. But I was to suffer clearifying all the dirt or else they putrefy. It was my birthday and I had invitified quite a lot of friends for dinner. I had to surefy my room was scrupulously clean as I had few girlfriends invitified for the party too whom I needed to electrify. After everyone left, I jharufied my room and moppified it nicely with a mop cloth, looked around in all directions and mumbled to myself, ‘ye...
“Naphtali’s Believe it or Not!” 1. After all these years of learning, now if ya had to split my brain into two halves; on the LHS you’ll find nothing right, and on the RHS there is nothing left! 2. No matter how hard I try I can never save money! & expense >income! 3. Waking up from bed I start eating, and forage food until ‘tis time to get back to bed… (I would go eatin’ till I die and still be lanky!) 4. Money lent is actually never gotten back! 5. If a man laid his hands on a woman’s possession, he’s rude and senseless and if he only tried to claim his from a woman, he is mean! 6. When in school, I would often dose off in class right under the nose of my teacher and still go unnoticed even though we were barely nine pupils in class… 7. Some of the team initiatives could be like asking one’s team members to refrain from drinking water from the washroom to keep a tab on their health, and asking the team to log off from their systems when ‘tis time to on behalf of the Te...

Monday O’ Monday

Monday, oh Monday! You bring cheer to some and despair to others… Gloom looms on every face with the dusk of every Sunday evening. Every heart laments of the joyful weekend slowly departing. Friends just wish the weekend had been a little longer. Lovers rue the most beautiful moment of bliss is helplessly slipping away from their hands. Students feel the books just got heavier. Homework would be left undone if not for the fear of their monstrous professor. Class tests if any? Yes, this becomes one obligation to do some studies however, the drowsy eyes due to day’s tiredness only dream of possible postponement. Going twelve hours behind the clock the entire nation had just Thanked God It’s Sunday, in the morning. Having had a rich continental breakfast, Life saw itself briskly engrossed in various activities. Post twelve one begins to laze about. And then the afternoon is just heavy on our shoulders. Students and professionals alike wistfully go to bed bearing an apprehension t...

Proud To Be At Infosys

It was 5th June, 2006 , a bright Monday morning that marked the onset of my career; dawn of a new life. Things have ever since changed dramatically and life has found itself in a new world-a new start. THEY called me a “ Progeonite ” then. Now, I’m happily labeled an “ Infoscion .” Life never seemed the way it is now. It’s found meaning in itself. I never once realized life had so much to draw from. At Infosys we are wonted to a new culture, a new environment, and a new life-style altogether. It still remains fresh in my mind till this day how on the eve of induction, I rode on an old Vespa suffering a viral fever. I lost control of my vehicle when a Safari in front of me suddenly stopped. I had a road mishap. Thank heavens! By the mercies of the good Lord I escaped the slightest of bruises, but for the noticeable dent that developed on the scooter’s mudguard. “Monday Morning…,” I muttered as I resumed my way… Difficulties have always been in company with the intermitten...
