Proud To Be At Infosys
It was
Life never seemed the way it is now. It’s found meaning in itself. I never once realized life had so much to draw from. At Infosys we are wonted to a new culture, a new environment, and a new life-style altogether.
It still remains fresh in my mind till this day how on the eve of induction, I rode on an old Vespa suffering a viral fever. I lost control of my vehicle when a Safari in front of me suddenly stopped. I had a road mishap. Thank heavens! By the mercies of the good Lord I escaped the slightest of bruises, but for the noticeable dent that developed on the scooter’s mudguard. “Monday Morning…,” I muttered as I resumed my way…
Difficulties have always been in company with the intermittent jiffies of joys. And I have snaked through all these to complete one successful year of service with the company. Now, I have many stories to tell and experiences to share!
I love Infy. Lovely people and a great atmosphere! And if I have to spill the beans today, I appeared for the job interview, thrice! First, when I wasn’t a graduate yet, second, when I had not completed the ‘six-month gap’ policy. And last, when I got hired. Although I had to wait for a real long time till I could reappear for the interview, I did so without a whimper. The career growth, job security, the welcome feeling and all that you name it. Infy has it all for you. That is why I had no qualms for having not been selected earlier. I am finally with the Infosys family in the pristine natural surrounding from which I just can’t take my eyes off.
The many extracurricular events that the company organizes help us grow harmoniously. By harmonious growth I mean the development of physical and mental, social and spiritual aspects of life. We have a magnificent gymnasium, lovely swimming pool, different sports and games, music room, a library, meditation hall and fun activities abound. Competency based trainings are organized by the company to keep employees at par.
I belong to one of the largest teams at Infy. I am proud of my team “Number Management” where productivity and quality mark utmost priority. We aptly like to call ourselves the “Numero Unos” which we are. Dealing with numbers, metaphorically I now walk, talk, eat and even sleep numbers. I see numbers on people’s foreheads. I dream of Number Allocation.
